We had the good fortune of connecting with Cari Favole and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cari, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have always had a passion for the arts and entertaining others. My journey consisted of trying a lot of “normal day jobs” – from a used car dealership to a software development company – but no matter how much of myself I gave to those careers, I felt empty inside; like a puzzle piece was missing. It was a visceral feeling of a fire burning me from the inside, a desperate need to release it. That pushed me for something different, something more. As a voice over artist and now content creator, I can freely use my passion and give my all towards something that is meaningful to me and hopefully others as well.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a voice over artist – Breathing life into words for my clients, whether it be an animated character or a commercial voice over, is my driving force. Creating voices for previously silent characters brings a rush of joy; I love to express their emotions through my voice. Even for corporate narrations, I look at the script or copy and think, “Who am I? What’s my Story? and To Whom am I speaking?” Suddenly, that E-Training Presentation becomes engaging and effective, and the listener retains more information. My last name, Favole, is Italian for “fairy tales” or “fables” and my great passion for stories and creativity is an integral part of my identity. While by trade I am an actor, I am a storyteller at my core. Growing up, my imagination was nurtured and encouraged, and I bring forth the freedom and enjoyment of exploration to every project. It was not easy breaking into the industry and I still have a long way to go but through perseverance and a greater discovery of self, I have been able to find my own success. I have recently decided to add to my brand a facet of content creation; although this is just the start of my journey I am so excited to see what the future holds.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta is such a beautiful melting pot of culture, history, and innovation. I would definitely encourage all to visit Little Five Points which could honestly fill a full day of shopping and exploring. Of course, you can’t visit Atlanta without stopping by Centennial Park and touring either the World of Coca-Cola, The Georgia Aquarium, or if you’re a sports fan, the College Football Hall of Fame. The CNN center is quite interesting to visit and is a convenient place for lunch after taking one of these tours. Although I’m personally not much of a foodie, I must give a shoutout to my favorite Sushi joint – Sushiya – located in the MegaMart in Duluth, GA. If you live East OTP, this is hands-down the best stop! If you’re open to an hour drive, you will not regret spending a day at Helen, GA! Known for its vineyards and Bavarian-style buildings, Helen is a summer-must for lazy river tubing. Or we could go to Athens, GA and take a trail through their beautiful Botanical Gardens; you are almost guaranteed to have an epiphany if you sit amongst nature long enough. If hiking is more your thing, head down to Stone Mountain for a fun train tour around the perimeter and hike or ride up to the top of the mountain for a breath-taking view.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are many people who have inspired, motivated, and supported me but by far I must thank my sister, Christine Favole. Without her mentorship, I wouldn’t have known what voice over was at such a young age. Her encouragement to stay true to myself and allow my creativity to flourish is what drove me to pursue a creative career. She has been my partner through this, supporting me emotionally and financially while I get on my own two feet and without her, I would not have found the success that I have.
