We had the good fortune of connecting with Luh BlessedChild and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Luh, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be known as a trailblazer who impacted as many people as I could in a positive way. Things like looking out for others before myself, and seeing something great in those who may not see it for themselves contribute to that.

I also want to be known as a leader who helped pioneer the new generation of music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel I’ve gotten this far with my music by continuing to put in the work and never look back. What sets me apart is I’m not a cliche, I don’t aim to follow in anyone’s direction but my own. I have a firm belief in who I am as an individual and as an artist. So I have full trust in my creative thoughts and follow them without any real need for feedback. I’ve learned that there are no actual rules to the creative process in music so, I abide by my own rules Being real and true to yourself steers you away from the facade most artists put on nowadays.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some places I would recommend are Juicy Crab and JJ’s Fish and Chicken. But I honestly don’t go out anywhere besides the studio, so I wouldn’t be the best host.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely have two thank these two individuals, Kachi and Johntaae for introducing me to the music industry. If it weren’t for those two I wouldn’t even be pursuing music the way I am now. Kachi aka Villageboi Kachi is my cousin who initially took me studio sessions and even paid for me to record sometimes. Johntaae, soon to be one of Atlanta’s greatest producers gave me the courage and belief to work hard at music.
