How relentless everything and everyone is. People are so cutthroat and have no problem taking advantage, hurting, not paying or doing anything to anyone in their path to money. What was so eye opening to me was how everyone will speak about getting a contract signed and just how few people sign contracts when you are not some A/b list artist. There has been more than a couple times I had to take control of a situation in order to get paid- it just shouldn’t be like that but sadly…it is. The only way to combat it- don’t ever agree to payment later- take deposits when you can and don’t be afraid to call someone out or act like you will take their CDJ (just kidding). Read more>>
