We had the good fortune of connecting with Ziina Vasquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ziina, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?

I went through a traumatic experience which cause me to completely fall out of love with music. At some point I got tired to emotionally sinking & decided to pull myself out through what I know best! My faith in god & the gift given to me through music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

My brand is about self love & uplifting others rite where they are in life. Whether providing encouragement through my album “Heartbleed” or enrichment through my foundation “The AtoZiina Foundation” that will always be the intention!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Sojo Spa, Times Square &
The Simpson Restaurant

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

My parents Mr. & Mrs. Vasquez My Aunt Socorro Garcia
Best friend Larrel Simpson
