We had the good fortune of connecting with Zenobia Scott-Haynes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Zenobia, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
The style and beauty blogging industry has been very prevalent for quite some time now. I began blogging in 2014 because I was so inspired by this sister duo at the time “Layllah Style.” I was intrigued by their minimalistic style, and their willingness to share their outfits ideas and inspirations. For as long as I can remember, friends and acquaintances have always asked me for assistance with putting a look together, as well as what beauty products I was using and my suggestion for new products. I’ve always been willing to share and assist other women in this area, because it is something I am passionate about. Writing has also always been a hobby of mine, that I enjoy. With these passions, I created The Posh Perspective, a style and beauty blog that caters to the everyday woman that wants to feel and look great without breaking the bank.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The Posh Perspective is a style and beauty blog dedicated to the everyday woman who does not need or want to spend a ton of money to look and feel her best. The creative process behind my brand has definitely evolved since 2014. I began blogging on a free platform that was very basic, but it got the job done. Eventually as I began to study my craft more, I realized if I wanted to be taken seriously in this industry and make an impact, I needed to have a more creative presence that really represented me. Two of the most important lessons I’ve learned along the way is: always be yourself, and stay consistent. We live in a time that is so influenced by social media, and it can be difficult to not get caught up in the images of “perfection” you see online. I blog for women, who aren’t afraid and ashamed to be themselves, despite the social influence of others. I believe this is what sets The Posh Perspective apart from other blogs.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my MOM! My day one since day one, literally. She has always supported all of my creative, academic and life endeavors. My mom is such a go getter and she has always been this way, since I can remember. The ultimate hustler. I am actually expecting my first child very, very soon and it is my wish that I am half the mother my mom is to me, to my daughter.
