We had the good fortune of connecting with Yahir & Gio Carbajal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yahir & Gio, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risks are the one of the things we value most in life. Without taking them, we doubt we’d see the results we have now and because of that it has made us okay to take more and more risks by the day. One thing we live by is reminding ourselves and people around us that we will eventually die no matter what, so why not take huge risks? We literally have nothing to lose since life comes to an end. So take the risks and watch your life change in the most surreal way.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Box Boys is more than a couple people making fire content, it’s a lifestyle, a mindset if you will. We know nothing but positivity and immaculate vibes. We’re grateful to have worked with some of our favorite artists such as D Savage, The Kid Laroi, Slutty Sonny, Jasiah, etc. Meeting all these different kind of artist is such an experience for us and even better that we get to work with them. Not everything was all sunshine and rainbows and even till this day, it still ain’t sometimes but we live & work for those special moments that only people like us would understand. Especially when coming from immigrant parents & an area we your peers would rather see you fail then succeed it only adds fuel to our fire. The world will remember Box Boys as a piece of the culture and we aim to build an empire for all those who have sought to be part of something meaningful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d say Skyline would be a go to spot for people are aren’t from the city, but only go at night you’ll get the most out of it. Laguna Beach is also a go to spot for a good time. But for sure a place to eat would be GEN, which is a Korean BBQ spot in Tustin, so good.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We’d like to dedicate our shoutout to Alex Lebroski, Diego, & Aaron. These individuals have helped us along the way and we couldn’t be more grateful for having such supportive and useful friends that are willing to be apart of this journey
