We had the good fortune of connecting with Wycovia Sanders-Dawkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wycovia, how do you think about risk?
Stepping outside of your comfort zone and taking risks are essential in reaching goals and becoming successful. Being uncomfortable helps push your personal growth financially & emotionally. Everyone wants to be successful but it takes courage to step out on faith and do what you’re scared to do. Failure is not always bad, but allows you to learn valuable business lessons and to continuously improve within your life and career. Continuous improvement is imperative in any business. Those who are risk takers have a competitive advantage, that may one day lead them to having an industry leading business. Personally, taking risks in my life and career has caused me to get outside my comfort zone and strive to achieve all of the goals that I set for myself after graduating high school. My goals were to become an Accountant and Entrepreneur…and here I am today many years later living out the goals that I set for my life and career. Risks are scary but they also can be rewarding.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.                                          My passions are fashion and helping people learn how to become financially stable by managing their spending/finances. My passion for fashion first began as a teenager. I used to love buying the latest fashion magazines just to keep up with the trends. I would vision myself on a runway wearing designer fashions and walking confidently down the runway. In reality I was shy, and I felt like I couldn’t dress like the girls in the magazines because I would attract too much attention to myself. I wanted to be more creative with my style of dress when I was younger, but I stuck to what I was comfortable with. As I got older I learned that the most beautiful thing you can wear is confidence. Confidence is key and you should wear it daily. In my vision for my online boutique, I wanted to exhibit that same confidence and classiness through the clothing and apparel at The Klass Act Co.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?          I’m definitely the spa friend, the brunch friend and the travel friend.

My favorite spots in the city are some of the best brunch spots. Both Mojave and The Beverly have great quality food with a great atmosphere. I absolutely love getting all dressed up and cute to go have brunch at a nice restaurant, so anywhere we travel ….we are definitely going to have brunch. Aside from that I love going to the beach. Anywhere where the water is blue, the sand is white and the vibes are right.
I also love visiting places where I can listen to live music. I enjoy a relaxed atmosphere where I can gather with a group of friends, talk business, eat great food, sip on some mimosas/wine, listen to some great live music and just inspire each other.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to Thank God, he has ordered my steps every step of the way.

I would like to thank my village (Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother, Grandmother, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins), my husband, friends, and supporters for supporting and encouraging me. I’m thankful for all the prayers that have been prayed over my life from my grandmothers/great-grandmothers & grandfathers/great-grandfathers.
And I would like to thank VoyageATL for giving me the opportunity to talk about my business and career.
