We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Gomez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica, what matters most to you?
At Pure Sprout Microgreens, the principle that guides us is growth—both in the literal sense and as a mindset. We believe that big changes come from planting small seeds, nurturing them daily, and watching them flourish.

Whether it’s growing microgreens or making changes in life, it all starts with that first step. By staying committed and watering those efforts, growth is inevitable. We want to empower people to embrace that journey—starting small, being consistent, and trusting that with care, those seeds will grow into something beautiful and impactful. That’s what Pure Sprout Microgreens is all about—small sprouts, big benefits.

At Pure Sprout Microgreens, we provide fresh, nutrient-packed microgreens grown sustainably and pesticide-free. But what truly sets us apart is the passion we pour into educating people about health and sustainability. I started this journey as a former cardiac nurse, wanting to help people make healthier, more mindful choices, and saw microgreens as the perfect vehicle for that—small, but packed with benefits.

The transition from healthcare to running a business wasn’t easy. I had to learn everything from scratch—farming techniques, operations, and building a brand from the ground up. What helped me overcome those challenges was consistency. Just like growing microgreens, success takes time, patience, and care. Every small step adds up to something meaningful. With the support of my family and community, especially local markets like Grayson Market & Gathering Place, we’ve grown a loyal customer base and are excited to continue growing.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to trust the process and enjoy it too! Whether it’s growing greens or building a business, the key is nurturing it daily, even when progress feels slow. What I’m most proud of is staying true to our core values of sustainability and health, and seeing how these small actions can inspire others to make changes in their own lives. Our motto, Small Sprouts, Big Benefits, perfectly captures that. We’re not just about growing microgreens; we’re about growing a healthier, more sustainable community—one sprout at a time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, we’d have a packed week full of Georgia’s best! We’d start with the gorgeous Atlanta Botanical Garden. We could spend a whole day at the Tellus Museum—perfect for the kids, with lots of hands on exhibits. Nature is everywhere here, so we’d spend time at Lilburn City Park enjoying the playground, creek and Agavero’s Margaritas! Some of my other favorite local places include Dante’s Pizza for the best lemon pepper wings and pizza! We’d have to stop at Mila’s Pupusas for delicious pupusas because I’m Salvadorian and we can’t forget the incredible sandwiches at Grayson Market & Gathering Place, where they even have our fresh microgreen salad mixes! And of course, a stop at Bruster’s for ice cream would top off the week. With all the local festivals and events, there’s always something exciting to enjoy in the beautiful state of Georgia.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Here’s the updated response with the additional shoutouts:

Absolutely! There are so many people and groups that have been instrumental in shaping the journey of Pure Sprout Microgreens. First, I have to shout out my family—especially my husband. He’s been my biggest fan and supporter from the very beginning, always pushing me forward and reminding me of the big picture. His unwavering belief in me keeps me going.

I also want to recognize my two young boys, who often join me at farmers markets on the weekends. Seeing them get involved and share in the excitement of what we’re building makes it all even more rewarding.

The Entrepreneur Center in Gwinnett has been another key resource. It’s a place where I’ve found guidance and mentorship, and it’s helped me navigate the challenges of running a small business. Books like The E-Myth by Michael Gerber have also been hugely impactful in shaping how I approach entrepreneurship. They’ve taught me the importance of building systems and processes that allow a business to truly thrive.

Of course, the Georgia Grown network and local farming community have been incredibly supportive as well, helping me connect with other small businesses and grow my reach. And a special shoutout to Reverie Love, an amazing artist and advocate for women’s empowerment. Her message has been a constant source of inspiration for me, and I was beyond honored when she gave me a shoutout.

There are so many resources out there that I’m thankful for, and it truly takes a village. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s contributed to the growth of Pure Sprout Microgreens.
