We had the good fortune of connecting with Venessa D. Anderson- Abram and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Venessa D. Anderson-, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

To be honest, God choose me for my assignment. I didn’t choose what I am doing. To that point, I still rise through my painful life experiences in HIS Glory, Honor and Majesty.

I am Gary, Indiana native that now lives in Atlanta. Nonetheless, I am reminded every day about my suicide attempts and my older brother’s death by suicide 5 years ago. My experience with my brother’s death knocked the life out of me and I did not want to live through that depth of pain in my soul. You see, mental health is rampant and has been for years. But now since we are in a pandemic, mental health is the new epidemic. To make a long story short, my pain pushes me to purpose. It’s not an easy task, but I know the promises God has over my life. With that being said, I am Mental Health Professional with a 501c3 Organization – Self-Discovery: Pain, Positioning & Purpose, Inc., that is on a mission to eradicate suicide in every community across the globe. We are educating the masses about There is no Health without Mental Health!! To learn more and to join us please go to www.sdp3.org and send us an email or call us.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

NO SILENCE. NO SHAME. NO STIGMA. NO SUICIDE

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

PURPOSE…

Many of us are unsure of who we are and yet what they should be doing to fulfill their purpose. It has been my experience that our pain that comes into our lives will shape us into who we are called to be, only if we be still in the pain and not run from it by medicating with substance, sex, or insecurities. It is my desire that we learn how to navigate through our painful life experiences by activating our internal nervous system to flip the switch to resilience instead of depression or suicide. Lastly, as we live, we are to learn from all experience we encounter, then pass your skills along to others. We are better and stronger together.

As the former First Lady Michelle Obama stated, when they go low, we go high.

Learn how to overcome the lower self by seeking new wisdom, enlightenment and understanding. Your results will be a much stronger and wiser person on the road of self-discovery while planting seeds to those you encounter so they too can be at their best!!

IT’S SELF-DISCOVERY TIME,
Lady Venessa

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am not a sports person. BUT I LOVE BEACHES. I was raised in Gary, Indiana where I went to Miller Beach as much as necessary. It is something about water and mountains that provide my filling of peace and tranquility.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out:
