Meet Val Verra

We had the good fortune of connecting with Val Verra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Val, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Well My Grandfather was a certified musician in the USSR. My mother is a piano teach till this day. My sister played the violin for many years. So I got a good ear for music and it’s in my blood!. After playing my first gig ever as a teenager I realised this is what I wanna do for the rest of my life making people happy and dancing. Graduated CSB School Of Broadcasting 2007 Radio Engineer/Operations.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It wasn’t easy that’s for sure to get were I am today in my life and career. Rome wasn’t build in 1 day right! No one got to be were they are today overnight. It does not work like that at all in life. Lot’s of work and practice and more work had to be done. Lot’s of day’s and night’s withought sleep just to get the right sound or that beat. I’m definitely excted that I become a father to a beautiful baby girl named Eleanor Sofia. Kids change your life for the best my personal opinion.
Working in the studio day and night to get the right sound. I was looking for my own sound and after a few years I found it.
Lot’s of nights I spent with other DJ going b2b and making sure that during practice if I didn’t mix right I had to redo it till I get it right. You don’t want to trainwreck during a live performance so practice is a must. Just like anything else in life you do practice make better. And then Val Verra.
My latest release called “House Music Is A Spiritual Thing” That was released on Juicy Music and remixed by a house music legend Robbie Rivera. Hit over 125k views on YouTube less then a year!
I’m proud to be running a super cool record label with my partner and the original creator Tony Puccio who launched the label in 2015 called IMMERSED MUSIC.
Today we have over 50 artists signed to our label. And some of our aritsts currently touring the world. Donald Glaude, D-Unity, Jad Halal, Joeski, Robbie Rivera, Saeed Younan, And many more! And at the moment on my north American summer tour 2024. Played in cities like Portland OR, Bend OR, Sarasota FL, Atlanta GA, Will be going to West Palm Beach FL, DC, NYC. And Happy to announce that I will be performing for ATL Pride on October 13th at Piedmont Park in front of thousands of party people!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When I had friends visiting me during my years in FL. I would take them to South Beach Miami. And all the nightclubs I worked at and rofotops/lounges etc. The most popular venue in Downtown Miami and the world I would say is SPACE nightclub. Were all the best & famous dj’s have ever played. I had a chance to play at that club as well and open for one of the biggest House Music DJ’s right now Oscar G from Made in Miami.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It all started in 2008/2009 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino! Costantino Padovano aka Mixmaster aka Funky Junction. Took me under his wing and taught me everything I know today. How to beat match and mix tracks together as one. Also he introduced me to Logic a computer software to make your own music. In 2009 I relased my first official record called I Want You that came out on his label called Sheeva Records. He passed away last year from cancer so RIP Funky Junction……
