We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyrell King and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyrell, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born in Palatka, which is a small town in Florida. My upbringing was immensely influenced by my late grandmother, as I spent many days with her talking and exploring nature as she loved the outdoors. As a young kid, I’ve always had an interest for design and art so I knew that was something that I wanted to do. Due to a fear of failure, I was hesitant about pursuing my goals, as I always thought that I wasn’t good enough. My grandmother always told me that I could do whatever I put my mind to. My mother, also being that she is a strong woman and with her nurturing and guidance, is responsible for the man that I am today. Their motivation and encouragement enabled me to conquer my fears and I consistently hear my grandmother’s voice telling me that I can do it, even when it gets difficult and I want to give up. Although Covid-19 2020 saw some difficult times and lost, it gave me an opportunity to perfect my craft in creating unique one of a kind art pieces. as being in quarantine, I was able to focus and meditate on what it was that Tyrell wanted to do. It was also during this time that V-Rose Unique Creations was born, to pay homage to my grandmother, who was unique and like no other. My artwork is a reflection of my background and experiences, which is a clear picture of my thoughts and my feelings which is something that I want to share with the world.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I realized my passion for art by visiting art museums, as well as high end stores. In addition, I also realized my passion when I started to decorate my place as well as helping out friends design there’s, Looking at so much artwork trying to find that piece of art that brings your place all together and I couldn’t find it so I said I’ll do it myself and I did just that. I felt free while creating and loved the feeling that this gave me, as it allowed me to be creative, free and unlimited. Art also allowed me to let out all those bottled up feelings of fear. Through my art and while I’m creating, I feel closest to my grandmother and always remember those words “you can do whatever you want to do”. My ultimate dream is to have my art displayed in homes and art galleries around the world. I am definitely doing what I want to do and living out my ultimate dream through my exquisite art.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
