We had the good fortune of connecting with Tynnetta Thompson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tynnetta, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I knew it wasn’t going to be easy but using my experience as a salon manager, studying natural ingredients that can be used to heal the skin and long nights of testing and creating products. I mixed my experience of 10 years as a licensed Cosmetologist,  my struggle with Eczema and my dream to give people a natural option for sensitive skin and created a company that is handcrafted with love.  My mission is to provide products that are safe, healthy and healing. Understanding the frustration that comes with finding quality products to use, it brings me joy to expand my business so that others may experience them as well. As I struggle with Eczema I know what it’s like to not be able to shop at the nice stores for your self care Products because half the time you can’t pronounce the ingredients and it irritates the skin. Rose Bird Essentials LLC Handcrafted and Healthy, cruelty Free and non gmo.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a full time Hairstylist now located in Pearland Texas at Virtuous Hair Salon and full time small business owner I am always busy. From 5-6 days a week at the salon to early morning?s and late nights creating content for my website and social media sites, if I?m not behind the chair creating glamorous looks you can find me in the kitchen creating products. Attending Pop Up shops in Houston Texas and hopefully more states in the future , delivering products to local customers and meeting with the owners of stores where I sale my products locally in Houston TX at The Black Store and Pearland TX at Jolla Bella Beauty Supply Store. I am a busy woman it wasn?t easy in the beginning but my planner is my best friend now, this way I stay organized but also create time for a personal life out side of work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my friends come into town I would take them to the Pearland Town Center for a little shopping, head over to Salt Grass for lunch, then head to the Menil Collection Museum. Next day would be downtown to do some site seeing, more shopping at the galleria mall and end the night at Ghost Bar.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

Sharon Reed my partner who pushes me to keep going every day, she motivates me, helps with content for our social media pages and website. Sharon also created our Sea Moss Gel product that is available on our website.

My Grandmother Flo Beaugard who worked in her garden that had flowers and vegetables, my Grandfather Roy Beaugard who loved birds and was always feeding them every morning.
