Meet Tyler Rood | Character Performer & Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Rood and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyler, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
At first I bought my Spider-Man suits for conventions only. Then I decided to put them to good use by giving back to the community through birthday parties, charity events, and other public events.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from others is the dedication and passion I bring to my character work. I do my research ahead of time and become that character. The more you can convince someone you are the person you’re portraying the better you’re doing at your job. I’m most proud of the direct difference I’ve made in the lives of the charities & birthday parties I’ve been part of. A lesson I’ve learned along the way is to stay humble and be grateful for the opportunities given to you. And always give back to those less fortunate.
I always try to be a blessing to everyone I come into contact with. Whether that’s simply a catering person at an event I’m working, the birthday boy/girl at a party, or any of the production crew members/leaders at a filming project. You never know when something as simple as a smile can change someone’s day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1 – Show them the downtown area of my city I grew up in and all the great shops, restaurants, and parks it has to offer.
Day 2 – Trip to downtown Atlanta to see the Georgia Aquarium, The World of Coca-Cola, CNN Center, Centennial Olympic Park. Then after go to the Atlanta Beltine for Ponce City Market, New Realm Brewing, and other night life.
Day 3 – Visit the North Georgia Mountains for a hike up Cloudland Canyon, eat lunch at the top by the waterfall, then come back home.
Day 4-7 – Trip to Savannah/Tybee Island Georgia.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to thank all the love and support I’ve been given by my family and friends who encouraged me to do this when I wasn’t sure at first. Some of the people I’d like to mention are Nicole Sides with Enchanted Events in Athens, Ga and Brandon Banks. Both of which encouraged me a lot, and helped show me the impact my work was having on the community.
