We had the good fortune of connecting with Ti’Aira Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ti’Aira, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
My legacy is love. I want people to remember that I’ve always moved with love. Whether people remember me by the love I gave, or how I helped someone gain the ability to love themselves and/or others; that’s what I want to be remembered by. My initials, TLC, are my favorite thing about myself because it not only stands for my name. but tender, loving, care, as well. And I try my best to live up to that everyday.. to be tender, loving, and always move with care. Love is the strongest force the world possesses; I want everyone to feel that.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Aside from my business TLC Beauty, I am a full time Youtuber. What I love most about being a youtuber is that I get paid to do what I love; which is create entertaining content revolving my life for others enjoyment. Knowing that people enjoy me and what I have to say makes me feel really good. I have a positive influence on people and not everybody can say that. But getting to where I am took quite some time and it was not easy. It took a lot of hard work and determination. If I could give one piece of advice to anybody reading this it would be to believe in yourself. I remember when I had 4 subscribers, yes 4 subscribers to my name. or in this case my youtube channel. Nobody knew who I was, nobody knew what content I wanted to share with the world; It was just little ole me in a community full of thousands of upcoming and already successful youtubers. So I had to make myself known. I did what a lot of people can’t do which is be vulnerable and show the world the real me. I put myself out there. That, along with self promotion & staying consistent took me exactly where I was trying to go and needed to be. The thing I’m most proud of when it comes to youtube is hitting my first milestone of 1000 subscribers and reaching all of the requirements to get my channel monetized. Knowing that I was able to accomplish that forever made me feel like I can accomplish anything I put my mind to! What I want the world to know is that there have been plenty of times when I wanted to give up. But I always remembered my “why”. When doing something always have a “why”. Your “why” is going to be your motive behind what you’re doing/ why you’re doing it… your reason for it all. That’s what keeps me going; because we all have our days.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love going out in the city to explore and try new things so here’s a few of my favorite spots…

As far as eating goes I love a place with really good food and a nice vibe, all for an affordable price. A few places that’ll give you that are: the pirates boil, orient express, and there’s a number of cool restaurants located at my favorite spots: the battery and atlantic station.

When it comes to hang out spots and activities a few of my favorite places are: main event, house of hookah, amc, andretti, wraith atl, and there’s a number of things to do in downtown atlanta like walk centennial park, visit the zoo, the aquarium, the coca-cola factory, or even ride the sky view ferris wheel.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my mom, Tamisha Clark. Not only is she the best mother to me but she’s also my role model and best friend. When it comes to passions & business ideas we always see eye to eye. It’s never a dull moment when it comes to those things. She’s an entrepreneur herself so she’s always willing to help and put me on the right path to success. She’s everything I want to be when I get older: a beautiful, hard working, independent woman. She’s unstoppable. I love her so much.
