We had the good fortune of connecting with Thien Vuong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Thien, why did you pursue a creative career?
Being creative is like a sport. I show up, play the game and then do the same the next day. It’s really just apart of me as much as my hands and legs are apart of me. An itching sensation scratching at me to create something.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a human of many skills and talent. Jack of all trades, and a master of a few to. I ran a brand and buisness under the alias of “RealTDragon” for many years creating online viral videos for what felt like a lifetime. I built that channel to reach over 100,000,000 millions views and 300,000 subscribers for what ever that’s worth. I eventually hit burn out in that industry for years after 2019 going into the dark days of the pandemic… That life had to end, and I had to find a new me. I went on to work and collaborate with some of the giants in the industry like Made In Network and Jellysmack. Editing videos that would reach people from around the planet. If you know you know.

I’ve worked with my biggest hero’s like Stan Lee & Tom Holland. Worked with both Marvel & DC as a cosplayer, collaborated with Danny Trejo for a funny video. It’s funny because all of this was done by a me I don’t believe exist anymore. It was such a long time ago.

Now I create 3d Animations using Blender/Unreal Engine 5 and produce music in Ableton for short films and indie film makers. Recently my music won the awrds for Best OST in NY48 Film Festival which was a win I did not see coming. I have a side of me for my personal music projects and one for an artist identity.

If there was a lesson overaching the whole journey I took to get to where I am now… It’d be that I simply out worked everyone. Work hard, play hard, don’t give up. Fall in love with the process, the process if everything. Editing for 100 of hours and brainwashing yourself to love it. If something doesn’t work, pivot. Find out what works and whats true to you. Be the truest version of yourself, be athentic. Do something you love and make something that you love to watch or listen to.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Check out the beltline bro, it’s popping we’ll ride scooters or skate up and down that path. Ponce city market is right there to grab a bite and we can catch up to. We can also hang out at EAV at night have some food and karaoke at Argosy. Dance the night away at Banshee. All good times good vibe with the beautiful people of Atlanta.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank God, he’s been there for me always. When I’m alone when I’m lost, when I’m found, when I’m hurt, when I’m whatever he’s always there. Watching my back for the knifes that are coming and looking ahead for the oppurtunities that will blossom in front of me. I feel free knowing he’s with me no matter my flaws, imperfections, or even my greatest wins yet to come.

Shout out and love to the Third eye collective team for giving me an oppurtunity and letting my creativity flurish.
