We had the good fortune of connecting with Tevin Ryles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tevin, what role has risk played in your life or career?
“It ain’t no secret how I got here, I just took the Risk!” Majority of my success stories in my life has literally come from taking a risk. Ive always been one to take the leap of faith and believe that God will steer me into the path of righteousness. I wouldn’t be in the position I’m in today without believing in myself and just going out and doing it. Just trying to make a name for myself and also promoting the loved ones around me. I would rather go out knowing I tried to do all I could taking a risk to get where I need to get than just fall off with regrets because I didn’t even try. I love the fact that people take risk because in reality, we never REALLY know whats to come until we try to figure it out. I love the outcome of calculated risk and being smart about these life choices to get where I would like to be in life.
High risk High Reward …. Right?
What should our readers know about your business?
I have a clothing brand that my business partner Husani Spann started in 2016 called Oberon Asscher. So I do PR / brand management for my companies (which is what I got my degree in Public Relations with a minor in Entrepreneurship but I’ve ALWAYS been into clothing, fashion, and sneakers. Nothing worth having comes easy. Starting a brand from the ground and working your way up as far as clientele and supporters is what I think is the main challenge starting off.
My main job now outside of my clothing brand has been working for a Public Relations Agency (The Purple Agency) as a publicist (Strategist/Artist Relations), and I do A & R working with a different artist, companies, influencers and things of that nature. I’m also a sneaker collector, which caused me to start working on my consignment store called Authorized No: ID along with two business partners.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I moved to Vegas in March so these are some of the spots I suggest when people come to visit Drais McFaddens
Big jerk (chill hookah spot)
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost of course God and my family. Special enough… Husani Spann and Justin Pride, deserve plenty because they put me in the position to win! Also my brothers, the bros, boys, champs and may more they all know exactly who they are and they’ve had the biggest influence on my life and they all know that. Ive been nothing but showered and surrounded by love and support. Grateful to have such a solid foundation and continue this path to success with them all.
