We had the good fortune of connecting with Tess McCain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tess, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to have something to call my own at the end of the day. I wanted to be able to call the shots and have something I am totally proud of! Being my own boss has always been a dream of mine and now it has become a reality.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started in event catering in high school and that is where I first discovered my love for the fast pace event industry. So, I went to college knowing I wanted to be a wedding planner and to create my own business! I worked for a friend throughout college who had her own planning company and through her I learned so much. I knew I could do the same thing but it is always easy to doubt yourself and let fear creep in. A daily challenge of mine is definitely to not let the fear of failure hold me back from achieving this dream. My brand is simple, clean & elegant. I care deeply about the organization of all the details. I want you show me your design and I will put the pieces together to make that happen!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wineries are my all time favorite activity with my friends and family. Where I live now, there aren’t many but we could take a day trip to explore some in North Georgia! I love exploring small downtown areas like Roswell & Alpharetta, not a huge city girl so I prefer the small town feel. I love exploring local farmers markets and would prefer to buy things there and create a picnic in a fun park, than to spend a lot at a restaurant. You can’t go wrong with a good happy hour so I am all about finding those hole in the wall spots to have a good time!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband and family are always my biggest cheering section! They continue to help me take the next leap in business and push me to greatness. My friend and fellow vendor, @beautyandbeyondbybri has been a huge part in my success here in Georgia. She is constantly recommending me to her clients and helping me get connected around here and for that I am incredibly grateful.
