We had the good fortune of connecting with Terrell Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terrell, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Our ministry focus is on the next generation and restoring people! Our mission is to love people and share the good news of the Gospel. Our success has come from staying consistent and available to help others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The integrity and character to do what’s right no matter what any one else does! Even though our story and ministry have been highlighted in magazines, newspapers and news stations. The thing I’m most proud of is the transformation I see in the people’s lives that we serve. To do great in this life we must serve others. I made it to where I am today by humbling myself to others, being teachable, and giving myself wholeheartedly to our mission! The sacrifice is not as hard when you see the bigger picture and have a vision that is worth the time, sweat and tears. Yes, the process at times has been hard and I have had the temptation to quit, however I decided to stay the course, get back up and stay fighting the good fight of faith. Nothing in life that is worth having is easy, anything great will require hard work and dedication. One of my greatest desires is when people meet us, I want them to know through our actions that Jesus Loves them and so do we!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to meet our kids at Malachi Project (our ministry to the next generation!) We would eat Mexican food and Spend time with some of our partners that help the ministry operate! I would take them on outreach to go serve the people in our community that are in need. They would be so blessed by serving and giving their time they would want to stay another week.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife Brandy, who led me to Jesus when I was in Prison. Also, several men who mentored me during my early years of ministry: Gary Cobb the founder of Broken Shackle Ranch, Scott Mormon the Founder of Breaking Free. One last Major person that changed the course of my life was Mary Ruth Thaxton. She mentored me from age 92 to 100, when she passed.
