We had the good fortune of connecting with Telisha Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Telisha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The Fashionable Traveler platform is all about experiences and events. The places I’ve gone in the clothes I put on. My thought process behind all that I do is to be of service. My underlining passion is to help people and it comes naturally to me. I offer Creative Coaching Services, to help people share their creative view. I love the concept behind sharing my experiences which turns into inspiring others to share their experience and try something new.Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always had a love of fashion, design and aesthetics. I believe my perspective of being an influencer gives me a different outlook when helping others create content.
I love working with brands and creatives. I have an eye for detail and I’m open to new concepts and ideas and I would say creating content it self is easy if you’re doing it on your own terms. Being able to lead with your creative vision is rewarding. I’ve learned to go with my intuition, be open minded and flexible.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would go on a taste adventure around the city and surrounding areas. Charleston is a major food and beverage scene so running into some thing yummy is easy. The mornings would always start at a local café maybe “the Rise” or “Caviar and Bananas” in the city, coffee is a must to get the day started. Followed by some sightseeing, because we have so many hidden gems. We have beautiful water fronts here as well as gorgeous parks. And we can’t forget a lot of the view worthy architecture that’s around town. Then find a delicious lunch spot “Butcher and Bee” or “Pink Cactus”. Then we’d head out for some much needed shopping and grab some amazing local finds at shops and vendors in the market. By the time we’re done with all that shopping we would’ve worked up an appetite for dinner “ Halls Chophouse” or maybe Waters Edge in Mt Pleasant. I even have a new fave Kiki and Rye! There are so many options to choose from. One of the many perks of living in the Charleston.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to give a shout out to my closest family and friends. I’m constantly motivated and inspired by them and what they do on a regular basis. However my mother would definitely deserve all the credit and the glory because she’s always been my rock and my support system, No matter how much I worked her nerves.
