We had the good fortune of connecting with Teleisha Corder and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teleisha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
In building Royal-T Styles, I would definitely say the integrity of my brand has been EVERYTHING. During the process of building my brand, I’ve always felt it was important for my customers to be able to trust and believe in my brand entirely. Stellar customer service, high quality products, and building genuine relationships with my customers has truly been the fuel behind the growth of my brand. In maintaining integrity over the years, I’ve been able to keep my customer retention rates high. It has also led to a TON of referrals!

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve spent the last 4 years actively building Royal-T Styles to the hair extension company it is today. What I’m most proud of is the amount of GROWTH I’ve seen over the years! I went from meeting people at Walmart to give them their orders, to having my very own STOREFRONT LOCATION! I got to where I am today by not giving up. I’ve had to show up for my business daily— even when I didn’t feel like it! It has been one the biggest challenges of my life, but also one of the most rewarding.

One of the lessons I’ve had to learn, is that everyone isn’t meant to be a part of your success story. I’ve lost a lot of people along the way, and many of them didn’t have the best intentions. I’m the kind of person that always tries to see the good in people. I’m always willing to go above and beyond for most people. Sometimes, that ends up in disappointment. Regardless, my heart remains the same. I wake up each day with the intention of growing as an individual. I refuse to let the ins and outs of the world turn me cold.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Places I would eat: Connors, El Cazador, Juicy Seafood, China Taste

Places I would hang out: Campus 805, Mid City

Huntsville isn’t the largest city, but it’s definitely come a long way. The largest/most popular attraction is the Space and Rocket Center. Other than that, Campus 805 is wonderful! This is an old school that was turned into a variety of spots. From tattoo parlors to breweries—this is an all-in-one attraction! Mid City is our city’s newest attraction. Dave and Buster’s, top golf, rock climbing, live music, and restaurants are all located here. You can’t go wrong here.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Throughout my journey, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some amazing individuals, and many of them hold a special place in my heart. Someone that has played a HUGE role in the success of my brand is Chelsea Warren. I met her back in 2018, and we’ve been inseparable since! From the very beginning, she has been in my corner. Chelsea is one of the people I can go to for any and everything. She encourages me, supports me, and promotes my brand… without me even having to ask her to! Chelsea has work ethic that is one of a kind. Seeing her work tirelessly to build her own brand (Shop Uptimum Bodied, guys!!) has been inspiring to watch as well. No matter what obstacles she’s faced with, she overcomes each and every one! I’m so thankful to have her in my corner!
