We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamisha Bourn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tamisha, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process is I have always wanted to help others. My Business Name is Olive Branches. We all need a branch extended to us.
Olive is My Maiden Name
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My Business was founded in 2017. I got my name from my last name Olive.
My father was Oregons first Heart Donor. We gave his Heart to help another man live.
My family extended an Olive Branch to a family in need. I was age 10 when this happened. I have always loved helping others buy caring for people with kidney failure. Also helping people obtain stable housing, So I created Olive Branches Property Management.
Not Only did I realize the importance of being an Organ Donor, I also seen the importance of having a healthy living environment.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take My Friend to Brunch at Toast on Lenox
We would go to the Botanical Garden, We would visit Ponce city market. The Georgia Aquarium is a must.
we would have a spa day, a shopping day.
One night of live Jazz
On night on the town dancing and mingling.
we would cook a good meal at the house our favorite dishes
We would also either go to church or watch it on TV.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Group I would like to say that has helped my become ready to take my business to another level was Girl CEO. A mentorship that help others pull out their talent. I also teaches how to market your brand.
