We had the good fortune of connecting with Su Nee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Su, what do you want your legacy to be?
I want my legacy to be an inspiration to generations to come. I want to be remembered for not only my sound, but I want my voice to spread love throughout the world. And give people a reason to keep going even when at your lowest.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from other artist I believe is the passion and talent I posses. Aside from having money and popularity. I feel being an artist should consist more of the impression you leave on ones life. To me, the power to change lives is worth more than any amount of fame or money even tho it seems like you can’t do one without the other.
I got to where I am today by staying persistent even tho I have no idea how I’m going to turn my dreams into reality. My mother always tells me preparation is the key to getting anything done. So I practice everyday in different ways and I study everything I find will be essential to my survival and my career. It is not easy staying focus and making sure your in the right track. I reach most of my goals because I’m strict on myself and what it is I need to accomplish.
I got to where I am today by not listening to anyone but myself, staying focused and always making time to enjoy my life. There has been plenty of days I wanted to just lay in sympathy, but I never had enough time to. Keeping myself busy and active saved my life and I’ll continue this remedy until I get what Ive asked and work for.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots in the city are low key and hopefully after this hits the Internet it can somehow stay that way. The best food to eat is little Bangkok. I have a family line in Thailand so it just so happens to be my favorite dish. The best place to study and enjoy music for artist of all kinds, is peters street station right next to city of ink. It’s the best place for creatives to get aligned with themselves.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shoutout drubelle visuals. When it comes to graphic designing and just organizing my career I feel this brand has helped me in so many ways and I want to share it with the world.
