We had the good fortune of connecting with Shaun Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shaun, what inspires you?
The thing that most inspired me to began my business my diagnosis of Psoriasis, Eczema, and Perioral Dermatitis. My skin is so sensitive that most of the soaps and moisturizers irritates and sometimes causes rashes on my skin. I wanted something that would work for me so I began researching natural ingredients to use in products and started creating sever different products. I immediately saw a difference in my skin and didn’t have irritation after using them.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I took a chance and started my business in the Pandemic in November of 2020. It wasn’t easy as the world reopend. I was in school for Business Administration and working a full time job as a teacher. The first year was a lot of late night/early mornings with trying to figure out the business aspect and creating/perfecting products. I eventually created a schedule so I could sleep. My brand is precious to me as I believe God has gifted my hands to create for those with skin sensitivity.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m pretty much a laid back type of person and I like nature. I love anything with water (lake, oceanic scene, etc.) and I love the mountains. I am also a thespian so theater shows are always exciting for me.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I told my Dad before he died what I wanted to do as business and told me to go for it. If it wasn’t for him I probably wouldn’t have started it. My mom has also been a great supporter and was a big sponsor as I began my entrepreneurial journey. My sisters made purchases and help to spread the word about RDS. Thanks to them for pushing me and helping me be where I am today.
