We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharon Oscar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sharon, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is being able to help my clients keep their hair healthy, and providing them with simple, clean, and nourishing products, while building generational wealth. I want to leave my legacy behind for my children and their children to come. Being the only one in my family to own my business for this long. I want to make them and myself proud.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As cosmetology student in high school, I knew being a hair stylist was my passion. However it was no easy task, After high school I attended beauty school of America in North Miami Beach, where I learned about my passion for healthy hair care. I enjoyed stylist hair, but mostly I really enjoy washing and prepping my clients hair for the style. I want to make sure their hair was clean and in a healthy state for their style. After graduating beauty school and attain my license, my passion deepened as I learn how to properly care for my clients hair and how the store brought products we’re actually harming instead of helping, I wanted to understand why some clients hair was falling out in clumps while others he light/heavy shedding. I am the research empress, I studied many different herbs that were good for hair care and the benefits of them. I started my own products in my kitchen, only for salon use. My client wanted some to take home so they can use when they could not make it to the salon. Little did I know I was building a brand. My products kept my clients hair healthy, it grew their hair, thickened their hair, stop shedding, grew in bald spots. I made a cleanse to wash their hair without stripping them of their natural hair oils and a serum to moisturize their hair and keep it healthy. Together they are phenomenal. I also make herbal oils for hydration treatments, scrubs to remove dead skin cells on their scalp blocking their hair growth. I rejuvenated dormant follicle. The challenges I face of unlearning to relearn, I decided to become an all natural salon, using herbs, fruits, vegetables to help heal my clients hair and scalp. I stopped using any chemicals that can potentially harm their hair/scalp! I lost clients due to this change, I also gain new clients who were on the journey to healthy hair care. I am the proud CEO of Natural Royalti Beauty parlor llc an all natural beauty salon and online store. I open my first salon suite in Miami fl, after terrible experiences with working with other salons and trying to be true to my natural route. I then relocate to WV looking to expand my brand where I was appreciated for my knowledge and passion. I help client who were balding, had scalp conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and more. I am now in Georgia, among other talented hairstylist and entrepreneurs, my expectations is to be bigger and better. I cater to all, short hair, long hair, Afro, locs, straight hair, moms, dads and children. With my exquisite customer service Natural Royalti will thrive.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am new to GA and still learning my around, Bar vegan would definitely be my fist spot. I am vegetarian, however they will enjoy the vibe and food selection.
Then take them to Jamerican where we can enjoy great drink with a Caribbean vibe. I would also explore the rich black history here in GA.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I participated in my first hair show, while in high school. I knew from then on I loved it here. The Bronner Brothers hair show paved to way for stylist to get creative. My first cosmo teacher Ms. Green, always said “your real experience will start once you start working with clients”, they will love you or never come back. Of course, my sisters, who have been my mannequin heads growing up, we did each other hair with the latest trends. My husband who encouraged me to follow my dreams in being a beautician, being very patient and supportive when I had long shifts at the shop. I would come home to my boys clean, full and ready for bed.
