We had the good fortune of connecting with Samuel Scott and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samuel, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Consistency has been a key to my success and still is. Ive had times were I’ve felt on top of the world and other times where I’ve felt down like I might not get back up again but through it all Ive learned to remain consistent and patient with myself that Im going to get to exactly where I want to be one day even if its not in the exact position im in right now. Nipsey said it best I just never quit thats the only distinguishing quality and im not gonna quit!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art and my cooking is my passion it is what fuels me and drives me every single day. I got to this point today from all the various experiences I have learned in my short 28 years on this planet and I am thankful for every last one of them. It was most definitely not easy and still is not everyday is a grind to continue to get better and to keep elevating my craft. I learned to overcome the challeneges Ive faced by keeping great people around me who uplfit me and drive me to be honest without the great people I have surrounding me right now I would not be half the man I am today (I love yall for real). I just want to be remebered for being a good person first and foresmost and second for giving more than I I have taken I think I was put here and given this gift to make people happy, uplift others and to help others and I will continue to make that my story.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lets see my Atlanta Itenerary week long trip whew got a lot of ground to cover haha. For good eats few of my tops spots would be Big Daves Cheesesteaks best cheesesteaks in the A, Bowl Lab gotta love their sushi bowls the Hotlanta is my favorite, Scream N Nuts for Donuts, and Moes BBQ for their signature smoked wings. Drinks I love a good cocktail but have not yet got to try any of the dope cocktail bars in Atlanta so excited to try some as a part of the trip. As for spots to hang out defininetly a trip to Piedmont park then off to a quick tour through Ponce City before hitting the beltline and checking out some of the dope street art across the city I love graffiti and art that the city has to offer.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
If I could give a shoutout to anybody it would be all the amazing chefs and people that I have met along my journey I dont think there is one person in paticular. I think it would do an injustice to them and myself to all that I have learned from each and every person, Regardless of whether they taught me something or put me through a situation good or bad I cant be mad at it because all of those experiences have made me the person I am today and I love the person I am becoming.
