We had the good fortune of connecting with Saint Abia Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Saint Abia, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m originally from Elba Alabama but has been living in the city of Augusta for about 12 years now. My father The Late Hirron Williams studied the art of kung fu for over 30 plus years so I grew up watching him train then also I was fascinated by the old school kung fu and karate movies. Training was not easy it took a lot of discipline commitment and focus.

And I know that’s what kids teens and adults need today. By me staying disciplined committed and focus I was able to win multiple world championships in Sport Karate and kickboxing and travel this country to Various states in the USA, have been to Greece, Spain, Canada, England, Switzerland, Germany and more to compete against The Worlds Number 1 fighters.
My father always said trust the process put your mind to it and you can accomplish anything you want if you are willing to be dedicated disciplined and committed to it

ITS WORK BUT ITS WORTH IT. So now I take that with me to teach especially kids or trouble youth that anything is possible don’t quit don’t give up You can make it through this.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the owner of Williams Hybrid Sport Karate Center in Augusta Ga. Here we teach and focus a lot on our youth with discipline leadership skills goal settings self control & confidence and exercise. I am extremely happy and excited how we have reached and taught so many kids life goals and have help change the lives of alot of the kids that people once labeled trouble kids they are not trouble anymore. Grades improved in school and also attitude and body language improved at home I love that. Being in business it has it ups and downs but as long as I keep God first in my life and my business I know he is able.

A major challenge I have overcame was how to reach our youth on different levels. And get them to buy in “understand” it’s more to martial arts than punching and kicking. This is a life style.

Never give up keep pushing you can do this.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Augusta is constantly growing but One of my favorite eating places is Carolina Ale house, Twin Peaks if you want to watch the pay period view fights or sports games. And Also my church The Revive church.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Of course my mom Linda Williams my Father Hirron Williams my church family In Alabama and The Revive church of Augusta Georgia My friends that have been supporting me and been right there at Williams Hybrid Sport Karate Center.
