We had the good fortune of connecting with Royal Cromwell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Royal, what do you attribute your success to?
First off, let me start by saying that i consider success to be something one gets for trying everyday, for pushing even when it gets hard. So the most important factor behind my success i would have to say is my transparency. As a modeling coach and a Nuero-Linguestics practitioner, my clients and students trust me because they know everything about me that they want to know. I make it clear im not perfect but i will continue to try everyday, no matter the knives being thrown. My brand is success because we live in our purpose, and we are very transparent about that.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a model my art is me, how I walk, dress, and perform on stage all depends on me. My art is unique, powerful, positive, magical, mystical, flamboyant. I believe this is what sets me apart from other models, my will to push harder, longer and quicker is what keeps me going and keeps my art fresh. My proudest moment in my 15 year modeling career would have to be my students success. 2021 has brought my students many gifts, Dutchess is featuring on an popular show, P-Valley, NSW was selected as a finalist for Lizzo’s upcoming tour, Tia is a host for the Alabama Music awards and Chauntell Placed 4th in the Maxim Cover girl Competition. I’m super excited and proud of them all. Them and other students are how I’ve gotten to where I am in my career, and this is just the beginning i feel for me. Modeling isn’t easy, you get picked at, talked about, criticize, rejected, and overlooked, however you have a job to do, and that’s being an example of fearlessness. I want people to always know, when they see me or my brand, that its about positivity, its about ART, its about unity, its about universal beauty, my brand stands strong on transparency and Creativity, we are factotums and we always put our best foot forward.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots in the city are all over, for example i love the Bar Our Place downtown after eating at Bay leaf, and Indian cuisine restaurant. Mostly though im a nature, history and art freak. I love red mountain, oak mountain, Ruffner mountain, and Vulcan hiking trails. I love visiting the Birmingham Art museum and the Birmingham archives. From shopping at book, Beans, and Candles Metaphysics to eat a five-star meal at Ocean’s, you cant go wrong touring Birmingham with me haha.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success has come from sooo many honestly. From my friends faith,chris,and K.c Davis to my middle school teacher ms Lavender to my highschool teacher Yolaine Joseph and Lindsey Bloodworth. All my friends and family have been supportive, my mom, my brother prynce, my sis Nsa Rose, debbie, kat,dawn, Cedo, sharii, Monique, tia breann, Nsw the Model, ladonna,kiwi. Organizations that have really supported me are zeus Entertainment, The Alabama Music Awards, Leaders of Excellence, International practitioners of Holistic medicine. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE CREATOR.
