We had the good fortune of connecting with Ron Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ron, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind our success is leading by example. Getting in and staying in good physical shape requires resiliency. There are always going to be setbacks & obstacles during your journey. But you have to push through in order to achieve and maintain your ultimate goal. It all starts with an individual making up their mind that he/she deserves better for their well being. The GYM-On Fitness staff displays that resiliency on a daily basis. The examples that we display gives the clients that extra push when they feel like giving up! We have coined the slogan “Get Up & Do Something” because that’s what our bodies are designed to do! Who are we to argue with that?

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
GYM-On Fitness LLC is in the business of changing lives for the better! We pride ourselves on leading individuals in achieving the mental and physical endurance that is needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle with minimum to no limitations. We pride ourselves in knowing that we helped a 60-year-old to be able to chase their grandchild on the beach opposed to sitting in one spot and watching. We love it when a 45-year-old says, “I can actually tie my shoe without feeling dizzy!” We love it when a 30-year-old says, “I haven’t seen this weight since high school!” We are most excited when we see our clients excited! We feed off of them! GYM-On Fitness LLC started with a simple passion for exercise. My passion for exercise along with a lifelong dream of owning a business just kind of meshed. There was one main factor fueling my reservation in starting my own business. That factor was time! Between working a full-time corporate job and exercising my time was extremely limited. Removing exercising from my life was not a consideration but I still needed to pay the bills. So, I remembered something my father told me a long time ago. He said “If you ever want to know what business will be a success for you, just ask yourself one question. What would you do even if you were not getting paid for it? Whatever your answer is will more than likely be your best choice.” My answer was exercise! At that moment I decided to make fitness training my part-time job! I worked for several “Big Box” gyms prior to opening the doors or “GYM-On Fitness” in 2015. It was not easy, but it was definitely worth it! I overcame the challenges like I overcome all challenges in life! I just attack them and keep moving. I have never viewed exercising as a job. I have always viewed it as a part of my daily life. With that said, building my fitness business was just another one of life’s challenges! I have learned along the way to just “Get Up & Do Something” and go at it as if you are doing it alone. If you take that approach any help you get in the process would be a bonus rather than a disappointment. I would love for the World to know that GYM-On Fitness was built out of love. It was built out of love for people, love for fitness, and love for life! GYM-On Fitness has been maintained with those same principles. Whenever someone sees the GYM-On Fitness logo I want their immediate thought to be “Get Up & Do Something”. There are so many people in this World that would work tirelessly to achieve what most have without putting forth any effort at all. Whenever someone sees that GYM-On Fitness logo I want them to say, “Let me Get Up & Do Something so I can remain able to Get Up & Do Something”!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take friends visiting the area to hidden gems that do not get a lot of national publicity. I would take any friends visiting the area to Stone Mountain Park because I love nature and all my friends do as well! Also, Stone Mountain Park is Less than 1/2 mile from GYM-On Fitness! Piedmont Park in midtown is also a great place to hangout outside! Atlanta has some of the best healthy eating restaurants in the World in my opinion! I would take them to Tassili’s Raw Reality, Full Taste Vegan, Sevananda Natural Food Market, Green Love Kitchen, or Cafe Sunflower! I promise you will not even know you are eating healthy! Cafe 290, St. James Live, or the Velvet would be my choices to go and enjoy some live music & a great dinner menu!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Wife! Constance Robinson has always believed in my abilities even when sometimes I have doubted myself. The real World can be a challenge sometimes. It is so much more tolerable when you have that support system nudging you along!
