We had the good fortune of connecting with Robert Cook and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robert, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
One that I never doubted was knowing that I wanted to help people. Mostly I thought about catering to my audience in ways that can help them on their everyday living basis. Creating products that would be essential and affordable for all.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have two businesses that I own , one is a skin care business named Rob’s Mix & the other is a photography business named VibesbyRob. I started doing skin care back in February of 2019; it was something that I’ve always enjoyed and always like trying new things , so I was like why not try to make my own products? I started out with my all natural sugar scrub and now I have three other products along with the original one. I’m definitely excited/grateful to see how far I’ve come , especially at the age I am. It hasn’t always been easy because sometimes you can just lose your creative flow with things but in those times it’s like you always come back more advanced and ready for any challenge that comes. VibesbyRob , I actually started this year in April of 2020. I had always been into editing for many years and edited all of my owns pics/ videos and then I decided to just pick up the camera one day while in quarantine and realized that photography was also for me too. I started practicing my angles more and took in all of the knowledge that I gained from film my past 3 years and just let things unravel all at once. Now, I’ve created another part of my brand , where I get to incorporate more with people and create something for them that’ll last for a lifetime.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d start off by taking my best friend to get a burger. We would start at Shake Shack , then we would walk around the Shops at Buckhead. Afterwards we would probably go to Ponce , Little Five Points or East Atlanta and take pictures while visiting some of the the different shops located in that area. (Wish Atl, Rag-O-Rama, Insomnia cookies, etc.) Then , we would go to Piedmont park. I love it there , it’s so calm and the scenery is astonishing ! Mostly just walk and use that time to just talk and let some things out. Lastly, we’d definitely hit up a really chill lounge like Boogaloo or go to an event where somewhere else in the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Everyone around me is mostly supportive of what I do and are always helping me find ways to grow my business. However , I’d mostly like to thank my Mother & Sister the most! They see me go through everything and are my go to’s for when a new idea comes about.
