Meet Ricky Prestige Leverett Jr. | Author and Metaphysical Motivational Speaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricky Prestige Leverett Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ricky Prestige, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
The goal of Prestige Speaks; is to teach a generation the power of their own mind. I believe more people should be aware of the greatness they are born with. I wrote my book “Mind Alignment: Wake Up Your Stolen Greatness Through Mind Power” thinking about the future. I pictured a young adult grabbing my book years from now and gaining some valuable insights. This has happened to me plenty of times throughout my life. I have read books or listened to speeches that changed my life. I want to do that for others with my words. I love the idea that my words can travel around the world and possibly touch people I may never physically meet. My words and research can have a chance to light a spark in another person.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have had an incredible journey. It hasn’t been easy though. Im still learning a lot about being a speaker but I will say every experience teaches me more lessons about life. I enjoy the journey and the wisdom it has given me. As I look back I see all that I went through was for my evolution. Im just proud to even be at this point and grateful. Im optimistic about the future. It has taken many hours of studying and research to get to a point where I can present information to others. It was many hours writing and editing my book. I have spent many nights learning more about the speaking and self-publishing industry. I’m currently enrolled at the University of Metaphysics. I have been studying for over 10 years on mental empowerment, psychology, spirituality, and our innate greatness within. I find these subjects very interesting and feel they could help a whole generation. I say my mindset is what keeps me going when I run into setbacks. I’ve always known that a setback was a learning opportunity. I do a lot of self-reflection and spend a lot of time in meditation. These practices give me clarity. I want to one day leave a mark on this world for doing a service. I want to be known as a top African American teacher of mind science. I rarely see many teachers that are African American like me that speaks on the power of the mind or just psychology period. I think it’s a need for African American teachers who teach Law of Attraction, mind science, meditation, and psychology. I am able to speak the language of the African American community. I can breakdown in-depth spiritual practices in simple practical ways. I want my brand to be known for being prestigious.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to visit lakes and nature parks. Georgia is filled with them so its plenty to discover. Im always finding random waterfalls or peaceful streams. I find it peaceful in nature. I would go canoeing or take a boat trip. Im always down for a good live show. I would take them to a seafood spot like Juicy Crab. I can eat crab legs all day. I will literally sit there for hours popping crab legs. I would take a helicopter ride over the city at night. We would visit some spiritual shops or bookstores. I like Dave and Busters or anyone where you can eat and play games. We could go-kart racing. I look for spiritual events or cultural events so we can get a diverse shopping experience. I probably then start thinking about business and hit up a seminar. of some type.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to first give a shoutout to my family. Especially my immediate family they always allow me to be myself. Many times they may not understand my moves but they now believe in me. I also would like to give a special shoutout to my future wife Katrenia Turner. I talk all day and run through a thousand ideas. She always listens and supports me. Our children motivate me to keep expanding for them. I have many friends who have supported my endeavors through the years. We call it a Mind Alliance. I learned a lot from several books. One of the most impactful ones would have to be “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. I had a teacher online by the name of Karim Hajee who has a mind science program called “Creating Power”. This program changed my perspective. That’s when I began studying mind science. Also special shoutout to the many supporters online that support my vision and message. They push me to keep going.
