We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Evans and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am always inspired by nature and light, and I love to surround myself with other creatives that exude that in their work. Dappled light, texture, and soft tones make me happy!

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Being a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend, and a business woman is not for the faint of heart. There have been many sleepless night, many hard lessons learned, but in the end it has definitely been worth it. I’ve had to learn how to balance personal life with business life and to set boundaries. Boundaries and goals are life savers. They’ve helped me keep my sanity and essentially fill each roll better! I hope both my clients and my loved ones know that I value them and I’m always striving to do better. There are seasons in life and each season I’m learning more about what works and what doesn’t. Out with the old, and in with the new! For the better.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The area that I’m in doesn’t have a TON to offer. But the great thing about our location is that it’s pretty central to everything. One of our favorite go-to locations is Charleston, SC. We’re beach bums at heart, and who doesn’t love the sand and waves?! Then we’d head over to Helen, GA and do some zip lining. #adrenalinejunkie Locally, one of my favorite food spots in Augusta is Hawaiian Style BBQ. It’s a big hit with any visitors in town and our go-to dinner place. For dessert I enjoy Manuel’s Bread Cafe in North Augusta. Their creme brulee is to die for!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It might sound cliche, but my family has been amazing in supporting me in my photography journey. My kids have been my inspiration from the very beginning; wanting to capture in time their tiny features and joyful laughs. And my husband has always been my number one fan. Even when I turn our living room upside down to create a vision for a photo, he’s got my back 100%.
