We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Carner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Taking the leap of faith to become a solo-preneur as a single parent with three children in middle school was a giant decision. Now that everything has worked out it seems like a no- brainer, but at the time I was compelled by the belief that I could follow my passion, have the scheduling flexibility to parent my sons AND bring a much-needed service to the community. I didn’t want to accept that I had to be chained to a desk, working for someone else just to have the stability I needed. So I decided to open my own practice despite all odds and conventional wisdom .

What should our readers know about your business?
Working with Tuning Forks as a non-musician is just plain odd. Not many people know that the sine waves coming off of regular tuning forks can have profound impact on the physical body and how well it operates. When I trained in Biofield Tuning in 2016, there was only one person that I knew of in the state of Georgia who knew about it. Now there are practitioners in Biofield Tuning as well as other frequency and vibrational therapies all over the state! Working with sound and vibration is one of the easiest and least invasive ways to improve your health and raise your quality of life. From reduction of anxiety and insomnia to reduction of swelling sports recovery, Tuning forks are an effective and risk-free tool for wellness. Through applying the coherent waves of a tuning fork to the electromagnetic field of a person (or animal) Tuning can effectively correct the ‘noise’ in the system or body- This can be to a specific organ in the body or it can be ‘smoothing out’ the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs we carry around with us. Starting a practice in an alternative field wasn’t easy and not everyone who cares about me thought it was a good idea. There’s always risk to starting your own business but if not very many people even understand what you do, it just makes it even riskier. But this really was one of those cases where inspiration and trust defeated logic and convention. I truly believed that people needed this service and that my gifts and talents would support me and my family. And it has!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give a Shout Out to the Biofield Tuning Community, Eileen McKusick, Vibrational Sound Association, Jeff Howard, New Earth Healing Center, Andrew and Bobby Jo Weaver and all greater Atlanta area vibrational therapists and energy workers
