We had the good fortune of connecting with Ramy Ba and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ramy, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I always love art and beauty is a form of art. I like making women feel beautiful and look beautiful..
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a hair Braider and a Makeup Artist. What sets me apart is my passion for my work. When you love what you do you do it best. I’m proud of all the costumers coming back over and over for years and referring they friends and they families that means I’m good at what I do. Nothing worth doing is easy. It takes hard work, it takes dedication and most of all it takes passion . My family, my support system. The people who believe in me , encouraging me and tell me I can do it even when I doubt myself. I learned to never give up, to believe in myself and follow my heart . My story is still In the making. I am not yet where I want to be. I’m still working hard toward my goals.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Sun Dial Restaurant at the top of the Western Hotel Downtown Atlanta, the food is great and the view of the city is magnifique! The Georgia Aquarium is the best place to visit, I love the Six Flag white water , Studio Movies Grill, Istanblue Restaurant, Impulse Lounge and Karaoke .
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My first shoutout is to my mother for teaching me to braid and for encouragement to pursue my passion of being a makeup artist, my family back in Abidjan and here in Atlanta. Also a big shoutout to my costumers for your loyalty and appreciating my work.
