We had the good fortune of connecting with Quorteshia Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quorteshia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I read a Quote QC Pee posted on his IG story. My thought process behind starting my own business reflected to that quote he posted so I knew once I start I can’t stop failure or giving up wasn’t an option.

What should our readers know about your business?
Well I’m most proud of myself because I’ve always been such a hardworking young woman with a heart of gold. Everything I said I was going to do I’ve did. I still manifest and write down things I still want to accomplish. Starting my trucking company wasn’t easy being a female not knowing much about it. I dived right in met some nice guys that was happy for me seeing a female wanting to be in trucking. The hardest part of it is finding good drivers. Becoming a Franchisee owning my own Subway was definitely hard. Til this day I have my days I break down but the good thing is I’m a peoples person & im very understanding the customers love that I work with my employees a lot & I’m always giving the homeless people in the area a job cleaning the parking lot, taking my trash or just sweeping & mopping my floors. I feel good at night knowing everyday I’m helping someone in need by giving them food and a few dollars for hygiene products or anything they may need. I’ve learned that it’s not easy being a business owner there’s going to be good days bad days you just gotta keep going it’s going to eventually pay off.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friends or family come visit we will go to Auto Bistro for Brunch, Busy Bees for lunch & Golden Krust for dinner. I’m a party pooper it’s hard getting me to go out to enjoy nightclubs I be ready to go sit a my store or home on my computer booking loads for my trucks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
QC Pee because he was my inspiration, he would post quotes that was so inspiring and motivating. My brothers because I’ve always been like mom & sister to them we lost our mom at a young age. My nieces & nephews because they knew Auntie Shun was only one phone call away. My love because he’s saw me shed so many tears, saw me stressed, depressed & still held my head high once I left home. He’s always motivating me & letting me know how much I motivate him the way I go so hard.
