We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Warner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

Following through is the key to life. To me, that means actually shipping the work, regardless of whether it’s perfect or not. There is perfection in the human imperfections, and I’m learning to embrace that more and more in our fast-paced world filled now with machines that can generate “perfect” work. The soul is the key. More and more, it’s the only advantage we seem to have left.

Another quote I liked recently was from Steve Martin: “Be so good, they can’t ignore you.” I’m still trying.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a music artist who discovered a love of filmmaking. Hundreds of music video projects later, I decided the next logical step was to create a TV pilot. It grew into a 3 episode show season called “The Studio”.

I pursued a creative career because I never fit into any molds. I figured the only mold I would ever fit into is one that I created for myself.

“The Studio” made sense, because it was something that could leverage my home studio as well as my past music projects while creating a chance to feature other actor and musician friends.

I’ve spent several decades learning a wide variety of skills, anything and everything necessary to put a creative image on screen, or sound between two speakers. This show gave me a chance to throw the proverbial kitchen sink of everything I’ve learned the past 2+ decades into a single project. We are excited to be live on Tubi and Prime Video!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t drink anymore & I’m a dad to two beautiful young daughters. So my idea of a fun week is building furniture in my outdoor woodshop, or going camping with the family.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife Kala is the other half of my brain when it comes to filmmaking. She is a big part of any success I’ve had, and she continues to inspire me.
