We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Fenin Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paul, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued this creative career because I always have a lot on my mind. Good or bad, my mind is always rushing with ideas, questions, answers, thoughts, anything you can name, I’ve probably thought about it a good 3-4 times. Then, I find it unbelievable how you can literally create anything from your mind – your imagination is the key to influencing the next generation, so I told myself I gotta get the f*ck up and go get it you know? Go ahead and be the influence for the next generation type sh*t.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I do a lot of different creative things so that’s why I prefer the term “visual artist”. In photography, I specialize in film, portrait, and 35mm photography. I wanna expand and try night photography as well but, the same thing with everything else I do, I specialize in a specific area (i.e. videography is hi8/VHS styled videos, flashy and choppy visual edits, so forth so on). I have inspirations of course (shoutout Gunner Stahl, ZionATL, and LONEWOLF), but I try to be as unique and original as possible and I believe that’s what I’m most proud: my growth. I’ve grown so much over two years, as I’m grateful for the connections I’ve made and the opportunities I’ve gathered to get where I am today. I started all of this during the very beginning of the pandemic around 2020 of March/April, but at that time, I only did graphic design and album cover edits. I expanded into photography in September 2020, videography and visual art in October 2020, and my clothing brand (@wrldofluck) in July 2021. It was most definitely not easy, but the growth and the interactions were most definitely worth it! I had to overcome a lot of challenges, especially with self. I had to learn that everything takes time and patience is key – everything will fall in place as it is meant to be. Finally, I want the world to know that I’m gonna make it. I’m gonna be successful and wealthy, and know that the sky really is the limit: You can do ANYTHING and create anything in the world that comes into your mind.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I won’t even lie, I’m a homebody but when I do go out and [hypothetically speaking], if a friend was visiting an area, I’m taking them to Atlantic Station and anywhere with Atlanta Street Art tagged on walls because the scenery is very beautiful, especially at night and as for eating? They most definitely gotta try that 10 piece lemon pepper wing and fruit punch/peach/lemonade drink combo mix but there’s other spots like Waffle House, Yard House, many more you know? Me personally, a day like that has to be topped off with just cruising downtown Atlanta at nighttime and store hopping anywhere in a store chain. That’s just me though!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wanna shoutout my sister, Faith, my friends, the Creekside High School Band & Mr. Bailey especially, and all the people who’ve supported me throughout my growth
