We had the good fortune of connecting with Pastor Will Francis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pastor Will, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
The HUB has done some really great work over the past few years within the communities we serve. Since April, we have served over 45k meals to seniors and those experiencing homelessness in and around the Atlanta metropolitan area. Something of that magnitude, especially for a smaller organization, would have been daunting if we were not INSPIRED and committed to our mission which is to simply “provide Help, restore Hope and allow hearts to Heal..” So the short answer to the question is Be Inspired by a Mission/Purpose you truly believe in.

What should our readers know about your business?
The HUB is an Integrated Care Ministry and Community Resource Center serving the Atlanta metropolitan area . Our Vision is to Transform Ministry, Minds, Lives and Souls inorder to change communities and the World in which we live, work, play and worship. The HUB also trains Thought Leaders in the areas of Ministry, Missions and Activism to tackle the regions most pressing issues such as HIV, Homelessness,, Sex Trafficking, Poverty, Hunger and Substance Use. Our Mission is to provide Help, restore Hope and allow hearts to Heal. On any given day, we are serving hot meals, giving out food boxes, handing out clothes, blankets, hygiene kits, water or coffee. We host “Healing Groups” vs Support Groups weekly and have seen folks that others had given up on…reconcile their lives. For us, that’s the principles and values we were founded on and assigned to do. In all we do, the greatest lesson we’ve learned is that we can’t do more for others than they are willing to do for themselves. So we don’t and won’t do it FOR them but will do it WITH them. The HUB is the heart of our Founder and Visionary, Will Francis. and was birthed out of his own pains which he allowed to push him until its vision pulled him. Even through the COVID pandemic, his leadership And commitment to others has The HUB – Creating Opportunities around Vision, Innovation and Dreams.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visiting for a week, it’s a mini work/vacation for me lol …we are going to do some meaningful outreach project, fire up the grill and fire pit so we can chat it up. Next day, it’s breakfast at Le Petit Marcie or Homegrown or a diner before going to look at luxury homes in the area and test drive a few new cars. Lunch at the iconic Slutty Vegan, then we’ll drive or walk around town and chat about what we see and hear…steak and seafood for dinner. The next morning, it’s QT for coffee then iwe are headed to the mountains to be near some water and horse back riding

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shoutout to Denard Ash, the Creative behind “Orbits of Provision”. I attended an Orbits workshop and was blown away by 3 simple questions on Purpose, People, and Places, he was able to (re)align our entire organization. I immediately engaged him on a deeper level by joining his MasterMind and am currently looking into having him do some one on one Coaching and organizational leadership training.
