We had the good fortune of connecting with Paige Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paige, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Honestly, what satisfies my temporary happiness is always changing. But the one this I can always get down with is self-improvement. Working hard for something, fighting through the temptation to quit and seeing results makes me beyond happy! Whether it’s with music, fitness or just being a better human, I’m constantly fighting to be better than I was yesterday. Also gummy worms….that always makes me happy too.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is definitely always changing. I feel like my music can go from “Sad Paige” to “Happy Paige” to “Petty Paige” really quick. But that’s the beauty of it isn’t it? You can always just ride the wave and express yourself freely. I truly feel like I’ve gotten to where I am today by trusting my gut, perseverance and practice. Was it easy? Hell naw. It’s still not easy. But is it worth it? Definitely. I’ve learned that just being authentically you is the key. Maybe don’t try to make music that’s trendy but make what comes naturally to you. What I want the world to know about me as an artist is that I will ALWAYS be genuine. All I want is to share my creativity with the people who care to listen! I just dropped a new single called “Not Again” that’s available on all streaming platforms so check it out!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite spots have to Piedmont Park on a nice day! Find a nice grassy spot and just take all that humidity in lol But really though, it’s a beautiful spot! When it comes to an undeniably good meal, I love McCormick & Schmick’s! Their food is unreal and the dessert never disappoints! Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have so many people that deserve recognition in my story! *exhale* Here goes my wanna-be Grammy Speech haha I would like to thank my parents for always believing in me, my brother for always keeping me grounded, my boyfriend for always pushing me to learn more, my best friends Sara, CK and Jaysly for their continued support and friendship and last but definitely not least; GOD……oh and I can’t forget the photographer at my very first photoshoot. Richard. You scoffed at me when I told you I would be a musician and now that’s my only source of income. You’ve been adding fuel to the fire since 2003 and I’m so grateful for that 🙂
