We had the good fortune of connecting with Omega Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Omega, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk in life will define you as a person. Once I realized that just living everyday is a risk itself I knew I had to do everything to the max. For that reason alone I take big risks everyday. “Bigger the risks bigger the reward.”

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Omega is more than a brand, actor, producer, or artist. It’s a way of life! Finally ending all the negativity in life and finally beginning a start thriving for greatness and perfection. My music and films will inspire the misfit and misbehave that has been thrown out into the world with no help no resources but like myself shine through all diversity. I myself was a ward of the state of Missouri at a young age aka another statistic but I turned that negativity into a positive. Everyday I aim to prove all the doubters wrong by not letting them define me but by creating my own myth and legacy of greatness. I have fail school twice because of life situations but I always seen myself as a ICON and deserved the world and everything in it so I turn it into my stage. Everything people said I couldn’t achieve in the entertainment business I did flawlessly. I graduated high school after alternative schooling and college from a group home in St.Louis called The Covenant House Missouri. I won two awards at the KC Film Festival, acted in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 as an Ravanger , got an nominated from the Midwest Entertainment Award as “Best Male Hip Hop Artist” and currently producing the new series “The Agony and The Ecstasy”. My lesson to anyone that’s reading this is “Don’t let past mistakes and people put expectations on you. Live up to yours only!”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I don’t hangout with a lot of people because of past experiences. Far as exciting people are concern I meet a lot of famous actors, artists, and models through my work. Some being from my homeland but a lot of them are from different states and cities. On a everyday basics I only hang around the same group of people everyday and all we do is workout, film, and make music.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Like to give a shout out Celebrity Landscapes and West Made owned by David Thomas. Thomas mentored me and taught me everything I know about music and survival. Wouldn’t be alive this day if I didn’t have his guidance through dark times.
