We had the good fortune of connecting with omar soto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi omar, what is the most important factor behind your success?
For me the most important factor behind my success having a mindset that “what I do is never enough” and that I can always improve my craft is the biggest secret and most potent tool during my career. Some people might find nice clothes, or fancy cars a symbol of success, but for me getting recognized and respected as a true artist has been for me the real meaning of success.
I spend countless hours studying, practicing, and improving every factor in my business. so at the end of the day, I can say, this is the type of company I would like to hire.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been doing this line of work for more than 10 years now, a lot of people think is easy but I can confirm that at first is really hard to do it for a living, but I kept that same drive from day one, dealing with the good and the bad of this industry, meeting people that really want to help you, and also dealing with people that just wanted to take advantage of you, but at the end of the day, that is what has helped me become the professional that I am today.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would try to bring them to the little hidden gems around the city. not just the mainstream restaurants, ill take them to those small entrepreneurs that are making great things in our community

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shoutout to a key person that helped me when I first started. his name is Walter Riley, he has been like a father, and mentor. that person that has given me life advice and business advice. i am extremely grateful for him. he gave me the motivation that you can really achieve greatness in this country when you really focus on it.
