Meet Nya Alli: Upcoming Fashion & Lifestyle Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nya Alli and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nya, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
The amount of work and time it takes to create content can be misunderstood by most individuals who don’t take part in it. One little 10-second Instagram video can take days to plan and hours to film. Lighting, set ups, editing and other tedious components go into creating content, but it’s on overall enjoyable for those who have a passion for it.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an emerging creator on social media platforms such as YouTube (Nya Alli) and Instagram (@nyaalli). My content is primarily focused around fashion, as it was constantly a passion of mine growing up. I was always known as the quiet girl, so what better way to express myself than through fashion? Everyday, I strive to elevate and become a better person than I was the day before. With that comes an elevation to my style. My style is a my personality, my form of expression and my creative outlet. My mission is to inspire others to use their personal style as their outlet. The journey was (and is) nowhere near easy. Being a creative requires a lot of brain power, and some days we just aren’t up for coming up with new ideas. This can lead us to inconsistency with a huge lack of motivation, which is detrimental to our success. But I’ve learned that quitting or stopping isn’t an option. Who knows- one day an idea could go viral and launch a number of opportunities. I’m not the most outgoing girl, but I’m a young black girl who can definitely tell a story through my outfits, videos and visuals. I want others who may struggle with expression to follow me on my creative journey for inspiration.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d first get lunch at Cafe Intermezzo in Atlanta. Hands down the greatest coffee, brunch and dessert in town. Then we’d head to Five Points for pictures and a walk. That area is filled with some of the most fashionable, fun, down-to-earth people. There are lots of cool art walls and thrift shops and also a health-food store (because who doesn’t have a 2021 goal to eat healthier?) Piedmont Park would be next for a picnic and watching the sunset. A drive-in movie at Starlight would end the day off perfectly!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My sister, Jennifer is not only a creative, but she’s also a nurse, entrepreneur, event planner, Nonprofit owner and much more. She’s always there to provide me with amazing advice that helps me grow as an emerging creator on YouTube and Instagram. To see all that she does, check out of her Instagram @jenniferbrowner_
