We had the good fortune of connecting with Natasha Murray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natasha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is God and family. I could not be where I am without them. God has truly blessed me with being in rooms that I am not qualified for but he has equipped me for them. Listening and being in his will has allowed me to be successful in my business. As well as having the support of my family and them giving me feedback or just even telling someone about my business has been a huge factor behind my success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business FaithPreNeur Woman is all about teaching faith based women entrepreneurs how to intertwine their faith with their businesses. I am a Faith Based Entrepreneur and I am a Coach who does not hold back. You’re going to hear all about the hard times in business, where your circumstances are telling you that your faith is slim. You’re going to see that it is not all glamorous as social media makes it to be (faith).

Prayer is what God me where I am today. A whole lot of it.

I am most proud of me just doing it. Just continuing to push through life’s journeys; the good, bad, confused, and the ugly of it all. Learning and understanding who I am in God and who he has created me to be has allowed me to not want to give up. It is extremely hard. Entrepreneurship is not a get rich quick scheme. For me it is purpose and to know that I have women to impact, that keeps me going.

I am so excited for what my vision is for my business and I can’t wait to have events and to connect with more like minded women in the future.

So many lessons have been learned. The greatest lesson that I have learned is to be authentic. Be who God created me to be, not what I see on social media. I think sometimes it’s much easier to do what other people are doing, and it can be a set up. Be you, love you and do you, unapologetically.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was coming to visit the area we would definitely go to Harpoon Larry’s. Their Rockefeller Oysters are FIIIRRREEE! Lol one of my favorite seafood dishes there. Also, the scallops and the crab cakes are amazing!

We would definitely have to go across the water to Norfolk/VA Beach area. They have so many food spots to go to. I absolutely love the beach, so we’d definitely be there about 80% of the week. Lol

Waterside District in Norfolk is a great area to visit. They have live music, great food and it’s also near water, so it’s a fun area to explore.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d definitely like to shoutout my mom and my boyfriend. Without their support, I’m not sure if I would have made it this far in my journey. Their encouragement and motivation has really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I’m grateful for them both!

I’d also like to shoutout my Coach and the Beautifully Her Community. Coach Shaniqua has taken me from behind the hair ministry,( I use to be a Braider) as she calls it to full blown purpose! She has really helped me to realize the impact that I have on women and also to her community of like minded women, you ladies are phenomenal!
