We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Joe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My mom would buy inspirational bracelets for my sister and I all the time for the holidays. I remember thinking to myself, “oh I would love to make inspirational bracelets for women!” I just did not know how. I eventually came across what I needed in order to make my own inspirational cuffs. I wanted to share with the women around me and whom I may never get to meet, the joy you encounter when being reminded of the hope, worth and truth down on the inside of you. That you are beautiful, fearfully and wonderfully made, worth it, unstoppable, and that you have what it takes to be successful and the best version of you. I love the way it makes me feel to wear a piece that inspires me to be the best version of me and makes me feel good about myself. It serves as a daily reminder that sis, you got it and have what it takes to be successful in every area of your life. I want women to have that opportunity of embracing that same feeling that would eventually turn into their reality.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Professionally, I am math teacher. I got to where I am today by much prayer, consistency, resilience, support and determination. However, it was not easy. I did have a degree but I did not have a degree in the a particular subject in which I wanted to teach. So, I had to pursue alternate route programs. Ever since 2015, I was trying to become certified in math and it seemed that EVERY door was shutting in my face. Every time I tried to make one step, I was knocked two steps backwards when a program did not accept me; or I did not meet their qualifications. I was blessed with people in my corner that continued to keep me lifted up in prayer and encouragement; and who would not allow me to give up. Yet, there was a fight down on the inside of me that would not allow me to give up. I thought, there just had to be more. I continued pressing may way forward and seeking new ways to become certified. A sure door of success opened up for me during the pandemic of 2020, that allowed me to become certified and here I am today; teaching mathematics! I learned, never to give up on yourself, keep people around you who see the greatness in you and who will not allow you to settle for just anything, and there WILL BE a door of success for you that will open up at the right time! I want the world to know that I am a go getter and I like a challenge. I also want the world to know that Branded By HIM was birthed from a place of trusting in God and how i wanted women all around the world to experience being Branded by GOD. Allowing him to define you and your worth. Do not allow other people and life to tell you who you are and what you can accomplish in life. That life and death is in the power of the tongue. If you decree it, you shall see it!!!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best fiend was visiting the area, i would take her downtown Florence. There are nice upscale restaurants on the strip and even a restaurant with a rooftop view. The strip also has a jazz environment in some locations and very nice boutiques. There is even a spot in which you may paint. Two of the most favorite restaurants downtown Florence, are called Victors. and Wholly Smokin’; in my opinion So, if I had to set an itinerary, it would look something like this:

Monday- Check in to one of the nicest hotels on the strip and relax our first night..watch movies..order in
Tuesday- Check out one of the boutiques and walk the strip
Wednesday- Dine at Wholly Smokin’ and walk around to enjoy the night life on the strip
Thursday- Check out another boutique and go painting
Friday- Dine at Victors and enjoy some good ol’ jazz music

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
DEFINITELY AND HANDS DOWN, ALL GLORY TO GOD FIRST! God laid this brand upon my heart during a time of prayer and fasting about my brand. My mentor and my mother listened to all of my ideas and looked at all of the videos in regards to how I was going to start my business. Also, a young lady who shared her story with me, inspired and pushed me to start again. Lastly, my dear sister, cousin, mentor and of course my mom were willing sponsors who helped funded the jumpstart of Branded By HIM. Thank you so much for your patience, willingness to hear all of my ideas, your sponsorship and your wise counsel. I love you!
