We had the good fortune of connecting with Myles Parker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Myles, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing about my industry, the Spiritual Industry that people are unaware of is that Spirituality is a gateway to personal growth, freedom, and enlightenment.

Growing up in a Baptist household I was taught that Tarot, Crystals, and Astrology were the work of the Devil or a darker force, etc.

Divination is a tool used to access truths, knowledge, and information.

Spirituality focuses on inner healing, purpose, and living a meaningful life. So, I would also say outsiders are also misinformed.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tarot and Tings were founded in 2020. Tarot and Tings is a spiritual necessities business that focuses on the energy, wellness, and education. We offer intuitive readings, spiritual consulting, metaphysical tools, and related accessories.

What sets me apart from others? I would say my creative vision and impact.

I am most proud of Tarot and Ting’s growth, I am super excited about the products and services that will be launched in the near future. “Just wait on it!”

How did I get to where I am today business-wise? Faith, Love, Support, and Consistency.

I wouldn’t say the process has been hard but dedication and patience have been super important.

Challenge wise? I would say the creative and marketing process. That’s another job within itself.

Lessons that I’ve learned along the way.

Be patient with your process, what’s meant for you will always be for you, don’t rush, pace yourself.

Connect with like-minded people who believe in your vision. Focus on what you are passionate about.

You don’t have to have everything all figured out, just start.

What do I want the world to know about me or my brand/story?

“Be the Vibe” is our motto.

Embody the energy that you seek.

Tarot and Tings are all about love, light, and uplifting.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend and I would definitely hit some festivals, museums, art shows, etc. Definitely Brunch on Sunday, Washington, DC has the BEST Sunday Funday scene. The DMV is such a diverse area so you’ll be able to meet beautiful people and experience different cultures as well as various ethnic foods.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my success to my tribe. My tribe includes my parents, a special shoutout to my mom, Besides having psychic abilities from a young age, my mother introduced me to crystals. She always remained open-minded and supportive of anything that I wanted to do.

My brothers, Lang and Nigey, my sibling cousin Davian, family, and close friends (they know who they are) but also the people who believe in me and my vision, my purpose. My clients for trusting me with their energy and the new people I meet encourage me to keep going.

Lastly, I would like to a shout-out to my daughter Braylen, she is my biggest motivator.
