We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique Narcisse and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monique, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I created my All Natural and Handmade haircare business to help boost self esteem levels of any individual that is battling with hair loss by regrowing your hair and edges to a healthier state.. When making my products, my main goal was to formulate a product that will be safe for babies, all hair textures and any ethnicity..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I make hair growth products.. All my products are handmade in my kitchen with the help of my 2 kids and loving husband. I have been in business for over a year and what sets me apart from others is that I genuinely love what I do.. I love the feedback, the results, the reviews and the testimonials I get from real people that are using my products. That keeps me going because Running a small business is not easy. From day to day promoting, networking and just being consistent to grow are what I have learned in this business.. My supporters are what keeps me going and growing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to south beach to visit the bass (museum), Lincoln road mall (shopping), airboat tour of miami.. As for restaurants I would take them to Joe’s stone crab and yard bird southern table and bar. In my view I love key west day cruises and glass bottom boat tours as well as the food and club/bar hopping..

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely want to give a shoutout to @jaylove holistic for mentoring me.
