We had the good fortune of connecting with Mike Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mike, what are you inspired by?
First off, Thank you for this opportunity. I know this may seem cliche but Life inspires me. The more you live, the more you’ll learn at that inspires me. As it pertains to my business, whether I’m taking photos at a wedding, birthday event or baby shower its inspired by someone’s life event. I love seeing the smiles while I’m photographing these different events. That alone inspires me in many ways.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m very passionate about being a photographer. I always knew that I had an artistic side but never knew what it was until I started thing about the things that truly brought me peace and made me happy. Whenever I get behind that lens I feel like I’m in a zone and unstoppable zone. I’ve always had a gift of making people laugh and feel comfortable so I made sure to incorporate that into my business. When I initially started my business I didn’t know what I wanted to take pictures of so……I took pictures of everything. I knew that taking that approach would allow me to learn different disciplines while gaining exposure whether it’ was weddings, birthday parties, real estate or even product photography. Honestly, once I started displaying my work on my social media platforms, the business came pretty quickly and word of mouth has really been my best friend. If the world had to know one thing about my brand it would be that it’s authentic. I’m very professional but at your event or photoshoot I will make you feel as though we have been working together for years. You will smile. You will laugh. You will be at ease.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the energy of this city son there are several places that I like to visit. I love The Battery. The restaurants are dope. The bars are dope and The Braves play there. You can get all you’re looking for in this one area. I also love the Virginia Highland as well. The vibe is cool with great eateries.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to all of my beautiful clients who allow me to capture their precious life events and families. Without our subjects who are we as photographers? The answer to that question is no one.
