We had the good fortune of connecting with MiKayla Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi MiKayla, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business helps the community and the world because I’m not only a hairstylist but a confidant, therapist, friend, and so much more to my clients and though they may not know it, they are that to me as well.I’ve been blessed to unite with many other likeminded, beautiful, & talented women through my business. Transforming and impacting women physically and eternally is a powerful thing to do. I also recently launched my own natural hair care line called “Kay Ali Hair Care stemming from my first name, MiKayla and my middle name, Alise. It’s such a rewarding feeling to be able to provide people with products formulated for natural hair. All of my products promote hair and scalp health, hydration of the hair, and growth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Each client’s head is a canvas, their hair is the artwork, and I’m the artist. It is truly an indescribable feeling to be able to use my hands and transform someone’s entire look. It’s not just hair, it’s way more than that. It’s confidence, personality, and a fashion statement. During this journey, I am most proud of my growth since I began two years ago in 2020. I am most excited to see where I will be five years from now and the experiences leading up to that time. I’ve had a few challeneges getting to where I am today but everything happened for a reason. Along the way, I’ve learned to never stop growing never be afraid to take risks. What is yours will always be for you! I want the world to know that Klass By Kxouture is a brand that specializes in natural hair maintenance as well as natural hair products. I take pride in my work and it’s way more than a “job” for me. It’s a passion, a dream come true, a way to build long lasting relationships & connections, and most importantly, help others love themself in their purest form. I want men and women to know that natural hair is a gift that should not be hidden from the world, but expressed and shown off.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting ATL, I would take her to SkyLounge for a nice view and vibe! I would also take her to Lickety Split for some amazinggg soul food & The Peach Cobbler Factory for the BEST peach cobbler I’ve ever had!!! Martin Luther King Jr’s house is also a pretty cool place to tour, as well as the Madam C.J Walker Boutique Museum of course because I am a hairstylist and I must incorporate my lifestyle into the trip somehow lol..

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I have to thank God for instilling this passion and drive within me as well as blessing me with this gift and opportunity to live my dreams daily. Immediately after, I must thank my parents for putting me through Cosmetology school along with their abundant flow of love, support, and motivation. Finally, I must show appreciation to my former Cosmetology instructor, Mrs. Erica McKelvey. She saw something in me the first day we met and to this day, continues to push me towards success and support me in my endeavors.
