We had the good fortune of connecting with Micah Blair and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Micah, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The people that support and show love to us. If it wasn’t for our brothers and sisters in the blerd community there would be no us.. So we say thank you to everyone that are always showing love and support
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I came from a long line of officers in my family, My mother being a police officer for 26 years, My father being a Magistrate, My Unlce doing 28 years of law enforcement and My aunt doing 26 years of law enforcement. All of them had a very important role in my life, for them teaching and grooming me to be a police officer for the people that i will be serving, Teaching me from right and wrong and to always treat everybody right.. And once I became and officer I wanted to do more, I wanted to be a voice for the people mainly for the people who are like me a nerd.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would go to top golf and once we are done there we would go to Uptown located downtown Birmingham and eat at Mugshots. once we are full off good food, I will take them to get some F.L.Y. Wings a very upcoming clothing brand here in Birmingham. And once we are done we would got to 5 point south to Sleek Bar and the Hush Hookah bar and the 3000 bar.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This goes out to all the people that were made fun of, picked on, bullied and mistreated for being different, for being a nerd. The reason why I showed love to them is because I’m a nerd, a black nerd that was bullied and made fun of for liking the things that i love now…
