We had the good fortune of connecting with Mica Callaway and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mica, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson of many that I have learned is to embrace the lessons!! With any career or business you will find beautiful blessings in every lesson. They don’t go away! No matter what level of success you accomplish or achieve every lesson takes you to new levels. Embrace the lessons! Be dedicated to yourself and your vision. Because everyone isn’t going to see your vision nor will anyone be as dedicated to your vision as you will be. Remove people pleasing and reside in a healthy space where people bondage doesn’t reside. Don’t chase the money, only chase the passion. Because if you chase the money you will always be broke and never satisfied. But if you’re passionate about what you do, the blessings of the lord will continue to shower down financial blessings upon you. You will never dwell in lack… Take RISK!! Early in my career I wanted all the pieces of the puzzle to be pretty, perfect and put together. Imperfect people attempt to create perfection but it will never be to a final state because we will always be modifying and adjusting along the way as we grow. Don’t be a SECRET REALTOR! Is my final lesson and something that I learned as I run this amazing real estate business called Mica Relates Realty. Be relatable and be transparent to share your live events with your potential clients.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I run a full time real estate business called Mica Relates Realty ~Your Realtor That Can Relate~. I’m proud of the continuous growth that I see daily. I’m with eXp Realty the first cloud based brokerage in the world. I’m set apart because I can assist people to purchase homes and million dollar estates nationally not just in Atlanta. I’m a people person so I never meet a stranger. I want the world to know that I CARE!! I want the world to know I’m RELATABLE to any life event that has caused their living arrangements to change. I’m a phone call away when you need to relocate to another state, going through a divorce and want to invest. I work with flip projects and future investors that don’t have a crew or know how to calculate after repair value and/or scope of work. I work with clients from $200,000 to $2 million dollars. I overcome challenges by prayer and fasting. I keep a spirit of expectation! I’m a certified home selling advisor and a certified home buying advisor. Mica Callaway CHSA, CHBA

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I like Pasha and feel it’s a nice cool spot www.pashatl.com I like Starbucks in the morning and breakfast at Atlanta Breakfast Club. I like eating outdoors on patios and supporting local restaurants. I want to thank God, my spiritual Mom Kathy Shepard, my daughter Myca Smith and my son William McCauley Callaway III for being with me in the trenches as I continue to grow my real estate business. I want to thank Nick Nelson of ‘The Brandprenuer” for being the mastermind behind my business name Mica Relates Realty ~Your Realtor That Can Relate~.I LOVE IT!! So suitable… I want to thank my friends and Sorors Raquel Jones and Alicia Jones for sending me a cash app when I didn’t have money to purchase a real estate book. I love them dearly for investing in me at the very beginning! I want to thank my friend and Soror Marsha Archer of M-Squared Public Relations for always KEEPING IT REAL by sharing her entrepreneurial experiences. She shared with me that “Everyone plays the game of Candy Land and Has To Go Back To Start!” I will never forget the day she said, “I would still WIN THE GAME AND FLIP THE BOARD OVER.” Just like she has continued to flip the board over!
