Meet Meraki Anoir | Singer, Rapper, Producer, & Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Meraki Anoir and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Meraki, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than a master of one”. As a creative that is responsible for putting every piece of my craft together it is affirming and allows me to see my multitude of interests and skills as me just being versatile and not scattered.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, and actress and I think that alone sets me apart from most. I am most proud of the work that I did in 2024. I took some time off from creating in 2023 to really balance out my inner world and it allowed me to push myself outside of my comfort zone and it all really payed off. These moments of solitude and reflection are how I got to where I am professionally. After centering myself I was able to release my EP “NAZ” this past November which is an alternative R&B project that encapsulates my journey with love, sensuality, and mental health. My journey as a creative has always been directly influenced by my walk with God. I am always getting my next steps whenever I take a step back to listen. I am literally walking by faith and it has not been easy at all. The most recent lesson that I have learned was about setting boundaries and to stop being so concerned with being “nice”. I want the world to see me living and being free in my truth and to be inspired to do the same.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
SixFlags 100%! Andrettis or Dave and Busters as a second. I really love anywhere that I can have fun and be a kid,

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my college radio station, The WOLF Internet Radio. I was the Production Manager there, and after hours I used the equipment to record my first few songs and EP “raki” that are all on SoundCloud. If I wasn’t able to learn how to record and edit audio from working at the station I don’t know if I would have ever gotten the courage to invest in my own equipment and further my knowledge in music production. Shoutout to them for saving me a bunch of money on studio time!
